Objectives: The serum levels of 25-hydroxyvitamin D ([25 (OH) D]) is considered to be one of the most reliable biomarkers of vitamin D (VD) nutritional status. VD deficiency/insufficiency is a risk factor for osteoporotic fractures and falls.
